William Irwin Orndorff (Bill), Adairville,left this earthly life, surrounded by his loving family, and was embraced by the Father in his Heavenly home on Thursday, June 6, 2019.

Bill was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was co-owner of the Adairville Feed Mill with his wife of 62 years, Ruth Dale Woodward Orndorff. He was active in the Adairville Chamber of Commerce and formerly served as president. Bill was active in the Full Gospel Businessmen’s International and served as president of the local chapter. He was also advisor for the AGLOW International for the local and regional chapters. Bill was a beloved member of the Belmont Church in Nashville. 

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, John Haddox and Frankie Kennerly Orndorff, his brothers, John, Jimmie and Frank, and his sister Sallie Belle Davis. He joins his precious angel grandchildren, Lionel David Orndorff, Ann Catherine Barbee and Rachel Baptist Orndorff.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Ruth; his children, Chris (Debi) Orndorff, Gigi Orndorff Self, Ruth Marie (Lester) Barbee, John H. (Marsha) Orndorff and William Wren (Martha) Orndorff; his grandchildren, C.J. Orndorff, Michael Orndorff, Mary Allen, Keith Barbee, Clay Barbee, John Orndorff, Ellen Boortz, Addye Stokes, Amanda Carroll, Anna Orndorff, Esther Smith, Kathleen Orndorff, Will Orndorff, Rebecca Poore and Jacob Orndorff ,and 19 great grandchildren and a host of loving nieces and nephews.

Graveside services for Bill Orndorff were held at 7 p.m. Sunday, June 9, in the Berea Cemetery, with Mike Humble officiating and full Military Rites. The family received friends Sunday in the Berea Christian Church until time for the graveside service. Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

There will also be a Celebration of Life at the Belmont Church in Nashville, TN on Sunday, June 16, at 2 p.m.
