Michael Reyburn Duncan, 68, of Youngsville, La. died on Thursday, June 13, 2019 in Lafayette, La.
He was born Thursday, Dec. 28, 1950 in Russellville, the son of the late William Reyburn Duncan and the late Virginia O'Dell Duncan. He was the husband of the late Madeline Bourgeois Duncan.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Youngsville.
Mike worked as an aircraft mechanic for PHI in Lafayette, La. and Chevron in New Orleans until he retired in 2011. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with family and friends, especially his granddaughter, Lillian Belle Strother. He also helped as a volunteer at the Youngsville Pantry.
Surviving are his son, Christopher Duncan (Wendy) of Wonder Lake, ll.; his daughters, Honora Duncan of Allen, Texas and Amanda Strother (Farrell) of Youngsville; his sisters, Virginia Kay Duncan and Pam Krancer, both of Castalian Springs, Tenn. and granddaughter, Lillian Belle Strother of Youngsville.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery located on Mt. Pleasant Road, Lewisburg, with Kenneth O'Dell officiating.
