Joyce Ray Hooper, age 82 of Russellville, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green. She was a Logan County native born on June 22, 1937 to the late Edgar Ted Westray and Lona Geneva Ray Westray. She worked at Rockwell for many years. She was an avid reader, antique collector, and loved working puzzle books. She was a member of Concord Baptist Church. Mrs. Hooper was preceded in death by her husband, the late Donald Franklin Hooper.
She is survived by:

1 daughter – Sherry Pearson (Randall) – Russellville
1 brother – Tommy Westray – Russellville

Funeral services for Joyce Ray Hooper will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Summers, Kirby, and Sanders Funeral Home with Bro. Richard Allen and Bro. Tony McAlister officiating and burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be held after 6:00 p.m. Friday and again Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. until time for the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Summers, Kirby, and Sanders Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
