Nancy Berry Woodson, 74, of Nature Drive, Russellville, passed away Sunday, Aug. 24, 2014 at Logan Memorial Hospital in Russellville. She was a Logan County native, born Nov. 21, 1939 to the late Jewel Berry and Zenobia Miles Berry.She was a teacher at Lewisburg Elementary and Olmstead Elementary Schools. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Lewisburg were she enjoyed choir, played organ and piano and was a very active member of the Ruth Sunday School class.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Woodson, and a sister, Annette Berry.
She is survived by her mother ~ Zenobia Berry ~ Russellville; her sons ~ Bradley Piper (Kay) ~ Allensville and Barry Piper ~ Olmstead; Very Special Friend ~ Cecil Mallory ~ Elkton; her step-daughter ~ Diane Woodson ~ Franklin; her step-son ~ Doug Woodson ~ Franklin; her brothers ~ Tony Berry (Rosemary) and Randy Berry (JoAnn) ~ both of Daysville, and Dr. Steve Berry (Cheryl ) ~ Greenville; her sisters ~ Donna Milam (Jim) ~ Auburn, and Kay Snapp (Jim) ~ Ocala, Fla.; 5 step-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Nancy Berry Woodson will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 27, at the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Lewisburg with Bro. Larry Vaught officiating with burial to follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Lewisburg.Visitation at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 26, and at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour of 11.
