Polly Sansom, 81, of the Nashville Road, Russellville, passed away Friday, Sept. 5, 2014 at the Hopkins Center in Woodburn. She was born in Liverpool, England on Jan. 14, 1933 to the late Albert Peck Sr. and Edith Knowles Peck. She worked as secretary for First Baptist Church, 6th and Main Streets in Russellville, for 27 years, where she was a member. She was the director of the Young Musicians Choir for 50 years and also directed the hand bells and the hand chimes.

She is survived by her husband ~ Lloyd Sansom; two sons ~ Steve Sansom (Marsha) ~ all of Russellville and Mark Sansom (Mary) ~ of Bowling Green; her daughter in law ~ Shawn Sansom ~ Russellville; her brother ~ Albert Peck Jr.  ~ Conwy Wales, England; her five grandchildren ~ Victoria Sherertz (Matt) ~ Indiana, Paul Neal Sansom (Porshe) ~ Georgia, and Daniel, Joshua and David Sansom, all of Bowling Green.

She was preceded in death by a son, Paul Sansom.

Visitation for Polly Sansom will take place Monday, Sept. 8, from 5-8 p.m. at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home.  Burial will take place in Russellville Memorial Gardens at a later date. 

Expressions may be made in the form of donations to the Annie Armstrong Eliza Broadus Offering or the Gideons. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
