Ruby Shoemaker Porter, 89, of the Huntsville-Quality Rd., Lewisburg, died on Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2019, at the Greenwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bowling Green.
She was born Monday, Nov. 25, 1929, the daughter of the late Roy Shoemaker and the late Eunice Coursey Shoemaker. She was the wife of the late Joe Porter.
She had been employed at a coal company as an Administrative Assistant and was a member of Quality Baptist Church.
Surviving are her son, Phillip Porter (Denise) of Lewisburg; her daughter, Melinda Porter of Russellville; her sisters, Elnora Crawford of Dayton, Ohio, and Shirley Perry of Louisville; her sister-In-law, Treva Clark (Alderson) of Bowling Green; her grandson, Tyler Porter of Lewisburg; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday at Price Funeral Home, Inc. located at 252 E. Green St. Lewisburg, with Bro. Kyle Guffey officiating. Interment will be in Quality Baptist Church Cemetery, Lewisburg.
The family will receive friends after 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 15, at Price Funeral Home.
