Joseph William ‘Will’ Logan, 89, of Russellville, passed away on Monday, Oct. 28, 2019 at Logan Memorial Hospital. He was born in Warren, Ky. on Aug. 14, 1930 to the late Earl Porter Logan and Essie Mansfield Logan. He grew up in Butler County, was a logger in his early life and also worked many years as a trucker for Boyd White. Later, he became the owner and operator of William Logan Trucking for 40 years where he was known as “Rockman” and for his rock hauling and spreading skills.
Will was known for his big heart, big smile and his friendly manner. He loved people and doing special deeds for anyone in need. He was a member of the Russellville United Pentecostal Church and served on the church board. He continued as an honorary church board member until his passing.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mable McLemore Logan; his daughters, Connie Pearson of Russellville ad Donnie Nealy (Garry) of Louisville; his brothers, Raymond Logan of Quality and Danny Logan of Russellville; his sisters, Dorothy Smith of Gallatin and Maggie Beltowski of Rockfield; his granddaughter, Dr. Paige Nealy Qunintero of Lexington; and his great-grandchildren, Rhett and Scarlett Quintero.
Funeral Services for Joseph William ‘Will’ Logan will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2, at the United Pentecostal Church with Bro. Scott Marshall and Bro. Nathan Whiting officiating with burial to follow in the Russellville Memorial Gardens. Visitation at the United Pentecostal Church will be held Friday, Nov. 1, from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday at the church from 9 a.m. until the service hour.
