Margaret Louise Humes, 90, of Russellville, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2019 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green,. She was a Logan County native, born Oct. 31, 1929 to the late Benton Davenport and Nannie Lee Volner Davenport. She was a waitress for various restaurants and a member of Adairville Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bert Humes.
She was survived by her sons, Larry Atkinson and wife Nora of Bowling Green, and Danny Atkininson of Dot; her daughters, Terry Atkinson of Dot, Tammy Vineyard of Gallatin and Penny Edwards and husband Jeff of Russellville; her brother, Whitey Davenport and wife Dottie of Russellville; her sister, Jean Richards and husband Tom of Adairville; her grandchildren, Chuck Atkinson, Lil Larry Atkinson, Jeremy Atkinson, Stephanie Howell, Satina Anderson, Ashlee Fischer, Tabitha Hunt and Kristin Perdue; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Margaret Louise Humes will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14, at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Bro. Allen Woodard officiating with burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Adairville. Visitation at the funeral home on Thursday will be held from 11 a.m. until the service hour.
