Henry Byron Collins, 81, of Friendship Road, Auburn, passed away Sunday, Dec. 8, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. He was a Logan County native, born June 7, 1938 to the late James Byron Collins and Cora Estelle Price Collins. He was a dairy farmer and member of Middleton Baptist Church. He was a 1956 graduate of Auburn High School and went on to graduate from Nashville Barber College. He worked in Russellville as a barber for a few years.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, James Collins and Frank Collins.

He is survived by his sons, Jack Collins and wife Sandra of Auburn, Jeff Collins of Franklin, Joseph Collins and wife Staci of Hanson, and Henry ‘Chip’ Collins of Bowling Green; his daughters, Karen Muller and husband Michael of Peachtree City, Ga., and Kitty Henderson of Franklin; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Henry Byron Collins will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14, at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Bro. Butch Morris and Bro. Wes Stone officiating with burial to follow in Pleasant Run Cemetery.

Visitation at the funeral home will be held Friday, Dec. 13, from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. until the service time. 

Memorial donations may be made to Middleton Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
