James D. Hunt, 90, of Russellville, died on Sunday, February 9, 2020, at Peak Resources in Wilmington, N. C.
He was born Saturday, Sept. 28, 1929 in Baveer, Ky., the son of the late Ernest Hunt and the late Ila Hunt. He was the husband of the late Mary DeArmond Hunt.
He was a firefighter for the City of Louisville, and was a member of New Hebron Baptist Church.
Surviving are his son, David Hunt of Russellville; his daughter, Regina Norris of Currie, N.C.; his brother, Dale Hunt of Columbia, S.C.; his sisters, Dora Faske of Dunmor and Dawn Cumens of Madisonville; his grandchildren, Michael Bradshaw of Rose Hill, N.C., Timothy Bradshaw of Rose Hill, Jonathan Bradshaw of Charleston, S.C., Matthew Hunt of New Albany, Ind. And Diana Hunt of Georgetown, Ind.
A funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday at Price Funeral Home, Inc. located at 252 E. Green St. Lewisburg, with Regina Norris officiating. Interment will be in New Hebron-Hunt Cemetery, Muhlenberg County.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of the service on Thursday, at Price Funeral Home.
