Levi Hodge Jr., 68 of Pearl Street, Auburn, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014 at the Auburn Health Care in Auburn. He was a Logan County native, born March 1, 1946 to the late Levi Hodge Sr. and Mary Bailey Hodge. He was a self-employed painter and member of New Friendship Baptist Church.
He is survived by his sisters ~ Margaret Hooper (Ron) and Lizzie Collins ~ all of Russellville; his nephews ~ Mark Hooper, Paul Shoemake and Michael Hooper; and his five great-nephews ~ Joshua Hooper, Dalton Shoemake, Andrew Hooper, Luke Hooper and Ethan Hooper.
Funeral services for Levi Hodge Jr. will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18, at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Bro. Tony Chaudoin officiating with burial to follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation on Saturday will be from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour of 2 p.m.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to the New Friendship Baptist Church Mission Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
