Dawson Ray Smith, 81, of Lewisburg, died on Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at Creekwood Place in Russellville.
He was born Monday, April 24, 1939 in Drakesboro, the son of the late William Smith and the late Elsie McDonald Smith. He was the husband of the late Linda Penrod Smith.
He was a coal miner and a member of Lodge 324 F&AM. He was also a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Lewisburg.
Surviving are his brother, Jeffrey Lynn Smith of Taylorsville; his sisters, Regina Adler of Glasgow and Jacqueline Pogue of Drakesboro; his grandchildren, Philia Smith-Howard of Springfield, Tyler Smith of Bardstown, Mikayla Everly of Lewisburg; and five great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his son, Phil Smith.
A funeral service will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday at Ebenezer Cemetery located at 1 Merle Travis Hwy., Drakesboro, with Bro. Tim Nugent officiating. Interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, at Price Funeral Home, Inc., 252 E. Green St., Lewisburg.
