Melissa ‘Missy’ Herderhorst Jones, age 52 of Louisville, formerly of Russellville, passed away Monday, Sept. 14, 2020 at her home. She was born in Centerville, Illinois on June 17, 1968. She was a US Air Force veteran, an educator with the Russellville Area Technology Center and Eastern High School in Louisville and was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Eugene Jones.
She is survived by her parents, Boyd and Fran Epley of Russellville; her son, Allen Lebo of Russellville; her daughter, Amelia Epley Panther and husband Sajal of Murfreesboro; her brother, Jim Herderhorst and wife Britton of Independence, Mo.; her sister, Kim Bryson and Doug of Russellville; and her granddaughter, Luna Pant.
Funeral services for Melissa ‘Missy’ Herderhorst Jones will be conducted Sunday, Sept. 20, at Summers and Son Funeral Home with Bro. Brian Proctor officiating. A walk through visitation at the funeral home will be held Saturday from 4-6 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. until the service hour. Please observe CDC guidelines of six feet distancing and wearing of face coverings.
