Jenny Deberry, 84, of Russellville passed away Thursday Sept. 17t, 2020 at her home. She was born in Russellville, on Dec. 24, 1935 to the late Leslie Powell and Estrelle White Powell. She worked at Emerson Electric, was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, was active in Homemakers, and was a former Chandlers Correspondent for the News-Democrat.
She was preceded in death by her husband, JC Deberry.
She is survived by her sons Mark Deberryand Rolanda of Madison, Ala. And John Wayne Deberry of Russellville; her daughter Kathy Wagoner and Paul of Russellville; her brother, Larry Powell and Jackie of Russellville; her sisters, Imogene Allen and John of Hoover, Ala., and Lucy Brown and Alvie, Cordye Carter, Sammie Johnson and Gerry, and Juanita Marshall, all of Russellville; and five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Jenny Deberry will be conducted Monday, Sept. 21, at Summers and Son Funeral Home with Bro. Bob Barnes officiating with burial to follow in Smith Cemetery. A walk-through visitation at the funeral home on Monday will be held from 11 a.m. until the service hour. Please observe CDC guidelines of six feet social distancing and wearing of face coverings.
