Frank Harris Dockins Jr., 90, of Russellville passed away Friday Sept. 18, 2020 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. He was born in Olmstead on Dec. 26, 1929 to the Late Frank Harris Dockins Sr. and Louise Dawson Dockins. He was a farmer, elder of the Crittenden Drive Church of Christ since 1969, minister of the Bethany and the Schochoh Church of Christ beginning in 1954, host of the Church of Christ program for the Bethany Church of Christ on WRUS since 1955, and a graduate of David Lipscomb College in 1954.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Davy Lee Dawson Dockins.
He is survived by his sons, Harris Dockins and wife Sharon and Dave Dockins and wife Paige, all of Russellville; his grandchildren, Frank Harris Dockins IV and wife Amy, Sharon Lee Dockins and John Logan Dockins and wife Savannah; his great-granddaughter, Adalynn Dockins; his brother-in-law, Henry Dawson of Atlanta; and his four nieces.
Funeral services for Frank Harris Dockins Jr. will be conducted Tuesday, Sept. 22, at 1 p.m. at the Crittenden Drive Church of Christ with Scott Harp and Steve McCarley officiating with burial to follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation at the church will be held Tuesday, beginning at 10 a.m. and lasting until the service hour. Please observe CDC guidelines of six feet Social distancing and wearing of face coverings.
Memorial donations may be made to the Crittenden Drive Church of Christ, or Bethany Church of Christ. Envelopes will be available at the church.
