Mary Simmons Appling, 75, of Russellville, passed away Saturday, Oct. 10, 2020 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. She was a caregiver and a member of New Vision Community Church.
She was preceded in death by her late husbands, Lonnie Simmons Sr. and Buck Appling.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Christian and Jason of Russellville; her step-daughter, Debra Anaman of Illinois; her step-sons, Lonnie Simmons Jr. and Kathy, Ronnie Simmons and Kathy, and Michael Simmons and Becky, all of Illinois, along with Jessie Simmons and Lee of Tennessee, Dickie Appling of Wisconsin, and Darrell Appling of Auburn; her brothers, Ronnie Deleskiewicz, Mike Deleskiewicz and Frank Deleskiewicz; her sisters, Jacquline Yeargin and Barbara Conley; and several grandchildren and great-grandchilren.
The family will celebrate the life of Mary Simmons Appling via a walk through visitation to be held Wednesday, Oct. 14, from 4-6 p.m. at Summers and Son Funeral Home. Please observe CDC guidelines of six feet distancing and wearing of face coverings. The family would appreciate if friends would prepare and bring a written memory of Mary to be placed in the memory box at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Logan County Humane Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
