Thomas H. “Tommy” Lassiter, 77, of Fugate Avenue, Adairville, passed away Monday, Nov. 10, 2014 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green. He was a Logan County native, born Nov. 22, 1936 to the late Thomas Lassiter and Nora Harris Lassiter.
He was an educator of Middle School Science for 32 years with the Logan County School System. He received his Masters Degree from Western Kentucky University and was a member of the Adairville Baptist Church where he was a Trustee. He was also a farmer and avid wood craftsman.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Barbara Huffines Lassiter; his sons ~ Danny Lassiter (Lila) ~ Greenville and David Lassister (Barbara) ~ Hopkinsville; his daughters ~ Diane Pearson (John) ~ Springfield and Debra Warren (Leon) ~ Russellville; his daughter-in-law ~ Faye Lassiter ~ Adairville; his brother-in -law ~ Harold Jepson ~ Franklin; his sister ~ Nancy Hildabrand (Joe) ~ Russellville; his grandchildren ~ Robby Noffsinger (Jennifer), Heather Lassiter, Marianne Blevins (Bryan), Ben Lassiter, Bill Pearson (Jenny Jo), Jessica Worsham, Anthony Hallman (Cindy), Adam Hallman, Thomas Warren; 12 great-grandchildren, and his great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Nora Harris Lassiter, his son, Don Lassiter, and his sister, Frances Jepson.
Funeral services for Thomas H. “Tommy” Lassiter will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday, Nov. 13 at the Adairville Baptist Church with Bro. Mark Bond, Bro. Carl Freudenthal, Bro. Tom Lawhon and Bill Pearson officiating with burial in Greenwood Cemetery in Adairvilel. Visitation at Adairville Baptist Church will be Wednesday, Nov. 12, from 4-8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour of 1 p.m.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to the Hospice of Southern Kentucky or Adairville Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available.
