Rachel Marguerite Shoemake, 95, of Russellville, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2020 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green. She was born in Springfield on April 26, 1925 to the late Arch Perry and Francis Jackson Perry. She was a homemaker and member of Southern Heights Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Burble Lee Shoemake, and son, Daniel Shoemake.
She is survived by her son, Tony Shoemake and wife Barbara of Russellville; her daughters, Kathy Porter of Quality and Patsy Shoemake, Shelby Fuller, Betty Shoemake, Sherry Shoemake and Judy Hardin, all of Russellville; and her nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Rachel Marguerite Shoemake will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 20, at Summers and Son Funeral Home with Bro. David Morgan officiating with burial to follow in Russellville Memorial Gardens. A walk-through visitation on Friday will be held from 11 a.m. until the service hour. Please observe CDC guidelines of six feet distancing and wearing of face coverings.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
