Margaret ‘Maggie’ Yeager Johnson, 84, passed away Thursday, Nov. 19, 2020 at the Magnolia Village in Bowling Green after a long illness. She was born in Hamlin, W. Va. on Sept. 6, 1936 to the late Wilburn Yeager and Mary Edith Chandler Yeager. She was a long-time member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Russellville and she loved to play bridge with her church family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David B. Johnson; her brothers, Carless Wilburn Yeager and Norris J. Yeager; her sisters, Alma Hager and Connie Settle; and her beloved niece Joy Holton Ray.
She is survived by her niece, Barbara J. Adkins and Bill Hall of Ashland; her grand-nephews, James J. Adkins II of Huntsville, Ala. And Keith Holton and Heather of Coal Grove, Ohio; and her special friends, Debra Frost, Ellen Nealy, and Mark and Mary Sue Taylor.
Due to the recent COVID-19 mandate, a private graveside service will be held for Margaret ‘Maggie’ Yeager Johnson. Summers and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the memorial fund of Trinity Episcopal Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
