Mary Joyce Exley, 71, of Indianapolis, Ind., formerly of Russellville, passed away Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014 at her home. She was an Indiana native, born Feb. 23, 1943 to the late James Franklin Robertson and Mary Josephine Gore Robertson. She was a homemaker and was of the Methodist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Exley; her daughters, Theresa Campbell and Tianna Sherwood, and her grandson, James Sherwood.
She is survived by her sons ~ Tim Sherwood and Ronnie Sherwood ~ both of Indianapolis; her daughters ~ Robin Guzman and Tracy Sherwood ~ both of Indianapolis; her sister ~ Gelema Vandergriff ~ Indianapolis; guardian of ~ Jennifer Sherwood and Neal Sherwood ~ both of Indianapolis; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mary Joyce Exley will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Bro. William Gray officiating with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be Friday, Nov. 14, from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday after 8 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 11 a.m.
