Lannie Earl Jernigan, 79, of Lewisburg, died on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021, at his home in Lewisburg.
He was born Thursday, June 5, 1941 in Greenville, the son of the late Shellie Jernigan and the late Mable Foley Jernigan. He was the husband of Judy Mitchell Jernigan, who survives.
He was a farmer and a boilermaker for TVA. He was also a member of the Lewisburg Masonic Lodge 324 F&AM and the Rizpah Shriners in Madisonville. Lannie was also a member of Elk Lick Baptist Church in Lewisburg.
Also surviving are his son, Lannie David Jernigan (Stacey) of Lewisburg; his daughter, Kim Richardson (Johnny) of Russellville; his brother, Wendell Jernigan of Greenville; his sisters, Janice Grace and Betty Benningfield, both of Greenville; his grandchildren, James Paul Richardson of Russellville, Kaitlyn Van Zile of St. Augustine, Fla., Madison Jernigan of Lewisburg, Cassidy Jernigan of Lewisburg, and Grace Richardson of Russellville.
He was predeceased by his brothers, George Jernigan, Jewell Jernigan, Roy Jernigan, Gilbert Jernigan, Pete Jernigan, Howard Jernigan, Bobby Jernigan and Gene Jernigan, and his sisters, Myrtle Lofthouse, Lucy Ford and Hazel Webster.
A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Price Funeral Home, Inc., located at 252 E. Green St., Lewisburg, with Bro. Ronnie Forrest officiating. Interment will be in Elk Lick Baptist Church Cemetery, Lewisburg.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday, Jan. 9, at Price Funeral Home.
Due to current mandates set forth by the Governor of Kentucky, there is an occupancy limit of 75 inside the funeral home facility, not including funeral home staff or officiating clergy. It is also required that a mask be correctly worn at all times while inside the facility. The family wishes to express their deepest understanding should anyone not feel comfortable attending.
