No Services; Cremation was Chosen
David Earl Harper, 78, of Auburn, died on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2021, at Hospice House of Southern KY in Bowling Green.
He was born Sunday, April 5, 1942 in Beech Creek, the son of the late Robie Harper and the late Velma Bivins Harper.
He was a coal miner and served as a SP4 in the US Army. He was a Veteran of Vietnam.
Surviving are his son, Chris Harper (Belinda) of Belton; his daughters, Stephanie Meacham (Greg) of Auburn and Jennifer Whitney (Mike McKiernan) of Russellville; his sister, Betty Hatcher (Leroy) of Greenville; 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by hi brothers, Robie Harper Jr., Charles Harper and Jimmy Harper; and his sisters, Jewel Mallory and Marie McCaley.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at Price Funeral Home, Inc., 252 E. Green St., Lewisburg.
The family has chosen for cremation to take place with no service following visitation.
Due to current mandates set forth by the Governor of Kentucky, there is an occupancy limit of 75 inside the funeral home facility, not including funeral home staff or officiating clergy. It is also required that a mask be correctly worn at all times while inside the facility.
