Bettie Martinez, 83, of Russellville, passed away Sunday, Feb. 28, at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green. She was a Logan County native, born March 27, 1937 to the late Floyd Darden and Earnestine Moore Darden. She was a housewife and member of Green Ridge Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Robert Martinez; her daughters, Sherri Dowker and husband Del of Clarksville and Michelle Brazell and husband Steve of Fort Lauderdale; her brother, Kenneth Darden of Portland, Tenn.; her sister, Lucille Williams of Peoria, Ill.; and six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services for Bettie Martinez will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 3, at Summers and Son Funeral Home with Bro. Brad Rogers officiating with burial to follow in Green Ridge Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the service hour. Please observe CDC Guidelines of six-feet social distancing and wearing of face coverings.
