Wayne Edward Hightower, 65, of Lewisburg, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2021 at St. Thomas Midtown in Nashville. He is a Logan County native, born Aug. 4, 1955 to James Hightower and Emma Harper Hightower. He worked in construction for Knight Masonry.
He is survived by his mother, Emma Harper Hightower; his wife of 46 years, Betty Hightower; his son, Michael Wayne Hightower of Lewisburg; his daughter, Tammy Michelle Rager and husband Dewayne of Elkton; his brothers, Jimmy Hightower and Chris Hightower, both of Russellville; his sisters, Brenda Collins and husband Bobby, Elizabeth Houchens and husband Royce, and Kathy Johnson, all of Russellville; and his granddaughter, Caroline Hightower.
Graveside services for Wayne Edward Hightower will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 9, at Chandlers Cemetery with Bobby Collins officiating. Visitation at Summers and Son Funeral Home will be held Tuesday from 9-10 a.m. Please observe CDC guidelines of 6-foot social distancing and wearing of face coverings.
