Lee Roy Whittaker, 88, of Lewisburg, died on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at his home in Lewisburg.
He was born Tuesday, April 18, 1933 in Nashville, the son of the late Ernest Whittaker and the late Maybelle Whittaker. He was the husband of the late Anita Harris Whittaker.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during the Korean Conflict.
He was also worked in setup and as an operator for the Methodist Publishing House in Nashville and was a member of Beechland Baptist Church.
Surviving are his son, Roy Lee Whittaker (Brenda) of Lewisburg; his brother, Pete Whittaker of Ashland City, Tenn.; his grandchild, Paige Whittaker-Higgins (Michael) of Clarksville, TN; his step-grandchild, Heather Johnson (Mitchell) of Lewisburg; and his step-great-grandchild, Jenny Johnson of Lewisburg.
A funeral service will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday at Price Funeral Home, Inc., located at 252 E. Green St. Lewisburg, with Bro. Buddy Crabtree and Bro. Richard Allen officiating. Interment will be in Beechland Cemetery, Lewisburg.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of the service on Sunday, May 16, at Price Funeral Home.
Due to current mandates set forth by the Governor of Kentucky, there is an occupancy limit of 75 inside the funeral home facility, not including funeral home staff or officiating clergy. It is also required that a mask be correctly worn at all times while inside the facility.
