Lillie Dale Young, 94, of Russellville, passed away Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. She was a Logan County native, born Dec. 8, 1920, to the late Robert W. Goley and Lillie Day Bomar Goley. She worked for 33 years for the Electric Plant Board and before that Leedoms Department Store. She was a member of the Berea Christian Church where she was an Elder. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Young and numerous brothers and sisters.
She was a second mother to several generations of beloved nieces and nephews and a friend to all.
Funeral services for Lillie Dale Young will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 15, at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Richardson officiating with burial in Berea cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be held Sunday, Dec. 14, from 2-5:00 pm and Monday, after 8 a.m. until the funeral hour of 10.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to the Berea Christian Church Memorial Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
