Lorene Hutto, 81, of Russellville, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2021 at her home. She was a Logan County native, born March 22, 1940 to the late Jimmy Herbert Farmer and Dovie Mai Adamson Farmer. She was retired from Emerson Electric and a founding member of Northside Church of Christ.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Robbie Sweetsir; her brothers, William Douglas Farmer and Winford Farmer; and sisters, Frances Pearson and Evelyn Hinton.
She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Richard Hutto; her sons, Jim Kelly of Chandlers and Darrell Oakley and wife Kelly of Russellville; her daughters, Carol Davis and husband Brad of Cross Plains, Susan Lee and husband Justin of Russellville, and Mary Hutto of Westfield, Mass.; her brothers, Fletcher Farmer and wife Mildred and James Farmer and wife Gloria, all of Russellville, and David Farmer and wife April, Harold Farmer and wife Linda, and Glenn Farmer, all of Tennessee; her sisters, Helen Canler and husband Hoppy and Doris Fuller and husband Johnny, all of Russellville; her grandchildren, Christopher Allen, Heather Allen, Layla Lee and Waylon Lee, all of Russellville; Emily Curry, Matthew Oakley and Kaitlyn Oakley, all of Bowling Green Brittany Coles and husband Kris of Bucksville; Rachel Huff and husband Andy and William Oakley, all of Louisville, and Macy Hewitt and husband Derrick of Cross Plains; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Lorene Hutto will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 10, at Summers and Son Funeral Home with Chris Kramer and Brent Lee officiating with burial to follow in Russellville Memorial Garden. Visitation at the funeral home will be held Thursday, Sept. 9, from 5-8 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. until the service hour.
Memorial Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
