John Goddard, 77, of Russellville, passed away Friday, Sept. 10, 2021 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. He was a Logan County native, born Jan. 6, 1944 to the late Selby Coleman Goddard and Willie Mae Moore Goddard. He worked as a machinist for Emerson Electric Company and was a member of Green Ridge Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Goddard.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Ruth Ezell Goddard; his son, Eric Goddard of Russellville; his daughter, Holly Goddard Jones and husband Brandon of Greensboro, N.C.; his sister, Martha Morrison of Adairville; and his grandchildren, Selby and Raina Jones.
Funeral services for John Goddard will be conducted at 1 p,m. on Tuesday Sept. 14, in Summers and Son Funeral Home with Bro. Nick Stamps officiating with burial to follow in the Green Ridge Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be held Tuesday from 11 a.m. and until the time of the services.
Memorial donations may be made to the Green Ridge Cemetery Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
