Melinda Louise Whittinghill Shelton, 50, of Russellville, passed away Monday, Sept.13, 2021 at her home. She was a Logan County native, born Nov. 4, 1970 to James Henry Whittinghill and Betty Lou Bradley Spivey. he was a bookkeeper and member of Hillview Heights Church.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Lou Spivey.
She is survived by her father, James H. Whittinghill and wife Vickie of Lewisburg; her step-father, Jerry Spivey of Russellville; her son, Cristofer Gover and wife Rae of Adairville; her brothers, James C. Whittinghill and family of Russellville and John Paul Whittinghill, his wife Debbie, and family of Bowling Green; her sisters, Betty Fail Wynne of Russellville and LaWanda Faye Harnishfeger of Russellville and husband Tom and family of Cross Plains; and her grandchildren Malachi Gober and Mason Gober.
A Celebration of Life for Melinda Louise Whittinghill Shelton will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 17, at Summers and Son Funeral Home with Bro. David Lewis officiating. Visitation at the funeral home on Friday will be held from 4:30 pm until the service hour of 6:30 p.m.
