Ann Saunders, 83, of Russellville, died on Sunday, Sept. 19, 2021, at Brookdale Senior Living in Clarksville.


She was born Sunday, Feb. 20, 1938 in Lewisburg, the daughter of the late Vora Bell and the late Ina Jenkins Bell. She was the wife of the late Ken Saunders.

She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Union General Baptist Church. She has traveled the country extensively as a military wife, even living in Germany. She enjoyed spending time with her family and attending church. Ann loved flowers and reading books and her Bible. She was an avid animal lover as well.

Surviving are her sons, Steve Saunders  (Phyllis) of Russellville and Mark Saunders  (Lana) of Hopkinsville; her brothers, Ricky Bell of Kuna, Idaho and Chris Bell of Sharon Grove; her sisters, Shirley Wells, Nancy Williams of Lewisburg and Patricia McGhee, all of Lewisburg, and Vicki Borders of Sharon Grove; her grandchildren; Jonathan and Kyle Saunders of Russellville and Dillon Richardson of Franklin; her great-grandchildren, Abigayle, Mason, Natalie and Wyatt Saunders of Russellville, Carlie and Riley Hunt of Russellville and Sam and Millie Richardson of Franklin.

She was predeceased by her brother, David Bell.

A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Price Funeral Home, Inc. located at 252 E. Green St., Lewisburg, with Rev. Earl Reeves officiating. Interment will be in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, Hopkinsville.

The family will receive friends after 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2021, and after 10 a.m. on Thursday, at Price Funeral Home.
