Norma Murphy, 91, of Russellville, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2021 at Magnolia Village in Bowling Green. She is a Logan County native, born July 6, 1930 to the late Freeling Johnson and Irene Thurmond Johnson. She was co-owner and operator of Bob’s Market and a member of First Baptist Church, 6th and Main Streets.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Earl Murphy.
She is survived by her daughters, Connie Thomason of Russellville and Tracy Duff and husband Billy of Cedar Hill, Tenn.; her sister, Sue Bess Campbell of Bowling Green; five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Norma Murphy will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5, at Summers and Son Funeral Home with Bro. Buddy Crabtree and Mickey Meguair officiating with burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation Friday will be held from 10 a.m. until the service hour.
Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church General Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
