Bobby Dickerson, 80, of Adairville, passed away Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green. He was a Tennessee native, born April 15, 1941 to the late Virgil Dickerson and Bernice Taylor Dickerson. He worked for many years for Emerson Electric and was Vietnam Army Veteran. He was a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church where he served as Deacon.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Rosie Lee McCarley Dickerson; his sons, Ronnie Dale Dickerson and James O’Keith Dickerson Jr., both of Adairville, Robert Lee Dickerson Jr. of Conyers, Ga. And Kenneth Lamont Dickerson and Jennifer of Auburn; his brothers, LeRoy Dickerson, Virgil Dickerson and Henry Dickerson, all of Adairville, and George Dickerson and Maria of Russellville; 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.
Funeral services for Bobby Dickerson will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 11, at Summers and Son Funeral Home with Rev. Delmus Johnson officiating and burial to follow in Russellville Memorial Gardens. Visitation at the funeral home will be held Thursday from noon until the service hour.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
