Gish Arnold Jr., 84, of Russellville, passed away Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021 at his home. He was born March 11, 1937, in Salem, Ill. to the late Gish Arnold Sr. and Rossetta Kirgan Arnold. He worked as an electrician with TVA, was a U.S. Army Veteran and was retired from the Kentucky National Guard. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Sixth and Main Streets, Russellville, where he served as Men’s Sunday School Teacher and Deacon. He also served as a volunteer with the Logan Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Vivian Page Arnold; his sons, Ron Arnold and wife Kim of St. Charles, Mo. and Roger Arnold and wife Tonya of Belton; his brother, Tony Arnold and wife Vickie of Russellville; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Gish Arnold Jr. will be conducted at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 22, at First Baptist Church, with Bro. Joe Ball and Mickey Meguiar officiating with burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation at the church will be held Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the service hour.
