Joetta Smith, 78, of Russellville, died on Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2022, at her home in Russellville.
She was born Saturday, Dec. 25, 1943 in Deerlick, the daughter of the late Loyd McElwain and the late Anna Wagoner McElwain. She was the wife of the late David Smith.
She was employed by Southern Hill in Springfield and was a member of Hilldale Baptist Church in Clarksville.
Surviving are her daughters, Sherry Tarwick (Todd) of Russellville, Tammy Bond Chris) of Russellville, and Jessica Palec (Zachary) of Bellevue, Nevada; her sisters, Shirley Willis (Loyd) of Lewisburg, Judy McElwain of Russellville, and Carolyn Page (James) of Todd County; her sister-in-law, Artie Smith of Springfield; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Oliver Neal McElwain.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Price Funeral Home, Inc., located at 252 E. Green St., Lewisburg, with Pastor Corey Harrison and Rodney Skipworth officiating. Interment will be in Cliff Hill Cemetery, Todd County.
The family will receive friends from noon until the time of the service on Saturday, Feb. 26, at Price Funeral Home.
