Betsy Whitescarver, 79, of Russellville, passed away Thursday, Feb. 24, 2022 at her home. She was a Logan County native, born June 22, 1942, to the late Vernon ‘Buck’ Price Johnson and Mamie Audra Hinton Johnson. She was a member of the United Methodist Temple and Accounting Supervisor for Emerson Electric. She graduated from Western Kentucky University with an accounting degree and was a Life Master Bridge player.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Gordon Whitescarver; her son, Michael Whitescarver of Russellville; her step-daughters, Panela Berger of News York and Stephanie Bilyeu of Shelbyville, Tenn.; and her sister, Lindagarde Dalton of Louisville.
Funeral services for Betsy Whitescarver will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 28, at Summers and Son Funeral Home with Bro. Michael Romans officiating with burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be held Monday from 11 a.m. until the service hour.
