Janet Headrick, 82, of Russellville, passed away Monday, May 30, 2022 at Auburn Health Care. She was an Illinois native, born Nov. 2, 1939 to the late Leonard Fred Nebel and Esther Plote Nebel. She was a factory worker, was active with the Russellville Senior Center, Bro. Joe’s Family Christmas and the WMU of Oak Grove Baptist Church where she was a member.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William R. “Jack” Headrick.
She is survived by her daughter, Myla Christine Porter and husband, Eric “Pete” Porter of Russellville; her brother, Stanley Nebel and wife Doreen of Kenosha, Wisc.; her granddaughter, Hannah Porter; and her great=grandchildren, Kristian Ortiz, Addison Morrison and Kason Grisham.
Funeral services for Janet Headrick will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1, at Summers and Son Funeral Home with Bro. Bob Barnes and Bro. David Jicka officiating. There will be a ceremony and burial with her late husband on Thursday, June 2, at 12:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, in the Chattanooga National Cemetery, 1200 Bailey Avenue, Chattanooga, Tenn. 37404.
Visitation at Summers and Son Funeral Home will be held on Wednesday from 10 a.m. and lasting until the service hour.
