Billy Ray Parrish, 88, of Russellville, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2022 at his home. He was a Logan County native, born Dec. 25, 1933 to the late William Leslie Parrish and Rubye Estelle Sircy Parrish. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and member of First Baptist Church were he served as deacon.
He was a realtor, insurance salesman and delivery person for The Blossom Shop. He was a former member of the Rotary Club where he served as Past President and former member of the Russellville City Council.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joyce Parrish; his sons, Terry Parris of Pembroke Pines, Fla., and William Clay Parrish and wife Delfina of Russellville; his brother, Michael Parrish of Hopkinsville; his sisters, Melva Hale and husband Richard of Bowling Green and Denelda Wright and husband Layne of Jonesboro, Ark.; his grandchildren, Terris Parrish of Bowling Green, Austin Parrish of St. Louis, and Clay Parrish and Delylah Parrish, both of Temecula, Calif.; and his great-grandchild, Emery Parrish of Bowling Green.
Funeral services for Billy Ray Parrish will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, at Summers and Son Funeral Home with Bro. Buddy Crabtree officiating with burial to follow in the Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home Saturday will be held from noon until the service hour.
