Roy Irvin Johnson, 79, of Adairville passed away Friday, Aug. 12, 2022 at the home of his daughter in Allensville. He was born in Sharon Grove on Sept 17, 1942 to the late Elmer Johnson and Mabel Thompson Johnson. He worked for Trane Industries for many years and was a U..S. Army veteran. He was also a member of the 431 Church.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Sylvia Camp and Thelma Blake.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Beatrice Johnson; his son, Roy Dale Johnson of Adairville; his daughters, Mary Ann Johnson and husband Nolan of Allensville and Becky Gilliam and husband Bubba of Adairville; his brothers, Ray Johnson and wife Betty, James Johnson and wife Wanda, Other Johnson and Judy, and Eddie Johnson and wife Kathy, all of Adairville, and Lloyd Johnson and wife Joann of Louisville; his sisters, Geraldine Suddath of Louisville and Joyce Roberts and husband Elvin, Ovella Morrison and Jeanetta Morrison, all of Adairville; and his three grandchildren and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services for Roy Irvin Johnson will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 15, at Summers and Son Funeral Home with Bro. Tony Stratton officiating with burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Adairville. Visitation at the funeral home will be held Monday from 11 a.m. until the service hour.
