Sandy Cole Maxberry, 68, of Russellville, passed away Sunday, Aug. 28, 2022 at her home. She was a Logan County native, born July 12, 1954 to the late Elvice Ernest Cole and Geneva Katherine Morgan Cole. She delivered newspapers for the Owensboro Messenger Inquirer, was a member of Hope Church in Auburn, and volunteered for Concerned Citizens.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Wayne Maxberry.
She is survived by her son, Christopher Cole of Russellville; her daughter, Edwina Sanford of Auburn; her brother, David Cole of Wheeling, W.Va.; her grandchildren, Damien Christopher Cole and Sidney J. Vicious Miller of Colorado; and her nephews, Jared Smith of Lewisburg, Joey Smith of Adairville and Jeff Smith of Beaver Dam.
Sandy Cole Maxberry had chosen cremation and there will be no services at this time.
Summers and Son Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
