James Robert "Bob" Sumner, 92, of Russellville, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022, at Auburn Health Care in Auburn.
He was born Tuesday, Oct. 14, 1930, the son of the late Carl Sumner and the late Pauline (Hardison) Sumner. He was the husband of the late Anna Bell (Richmond) Sumner.
He was a mechanic for Gupton Motor Co. and a member of Crittenden Drive Church of Christ.
Surviving are his daughter, Kathy Holloway of Russellville; his brother, Eldred Sumner of Lewisburg; his sister, Geneva Bilbrey of Greenville; his granddaughter, Chasity Brown (Edward) of Russellville; his grandson, J.P Holloway (Amanda) of Chandlers; his great-grandsons, Christopher Reeves of Russellville, Camden Reeves of Russellville, and Aiden Holloway, John Lyle Holloway and Calix John Daniel Holloway, all of Chandlers; and his great-granddaughter, Annabelle Holloway of Chandlers.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 18, at Price Funeral Home Inc., located at 252 E. Green St., Lewisburg, with Scott Harp officiating. Interment will be in Lewisburg Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at Price Funeral Home.
