Josephine “Jo” Smith, 92, of Lewisburg, passed away Friday, Nov. 18, 2022 at Bradford Heights Nursing and Rehab in Hopkinsville. She was a Logan County native, born Sept. 3, 1930 to the late Wylie Brown and Dena Stuart Brown. She worked in various restaurants and was a member of the Stuarts Chapel United Methodist Church.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter], Kathy Rosser; her grandson, Robert Turley; and her step-granddaughter, Ursula Blanton.
She is survived by her daughters, Lori Court and husband Mike of Lewisburg and Theresa Gulley of Nashville; her son-in-law, Johnny Rosser of Lewisburg; her step-daughter, Pam Brown and husband Howard Lee of Olmstead; her grandchildren, Erin Collins and husband Christopher of Hopkinsville, Casey Van Harrison and wife Amber of Greenbrier, John Rosser and wife Kayla of Lewisburg, Courtney Rogers of Russellville; and her nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Josephine “Jo” Smith will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Summers and Son Funeral Home with Bro. David Calvert with burial to follow in Berea Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home Sunday will be held from noon until the service hour.
