Herbert “Wayne” Austin Sr., 75, of Russellville, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2022 at the Residence of Alive Hospice in Nashville. He was born on Feb. 13, 1947, to the late Herbert Marion Austin and Ooma Boyd Austin.
He also was preceded in death by his first wife, Rose Marie Austin, and his second wife, Leca Bailey Austin.
He is survived by his sons, Herbert Wayne Austin Jr. (Allison) of Louisville, Randall Dean Austin (Danielle) of Russellville, and Charles Austin of Austin, Ind.; his sister, Patricia Ann Austin; his brother, Charles Austin of Austin; his grandson, Christopher Austin, his granddaughter, Audrey Everett-Austin; and several nieces and nephews.
Wayne served our country in the U.S. Army, loved cars, and riding motorcycles.
The visitation will be on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. in the chapel of Kirby Funeral Services Russellville. Graveside services will be on Monday at 2 p.m. at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville with military honors.
