Gerald Glenn Funk, 84, of Russellville, passed away Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023 at the home of his son in Bowling Green. He was a Logan County native, born March 28, 1938 to the late Estill Taylor Funk and Mary Edith Orange Funk. He was a lead man for Houchens Industries and Rockwell.
He was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church, where he was a former Deacon. He was a former Code Enforcement board member, Kentucky Colonel and served on the City of Russellville Council and Good Samaritan Board.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Faye Funk; brothers, Ferald Lynn Funk and Hoy E. Funk. and his sister, Barbara Fay Funk.
He is survived by his son, Russell Funk and wife Shaela of Bowling Green.
Funeral Services for Gerald Glenn Funk will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21, at Summers and Son Funeral Home with Bro. Bob Barnes and Bro. David Jika officiating with burial to follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, Jan. 20, from 5-7:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. until the service hour.
