Walter Ray Laster, 77, of Russellville, passed away Monday, Jan. 23, 2023 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green. He was a Logan County native, born March 6, 1945 to the late W. D. Laster and Ruby Kathryn Johnson Laster. He worked at Rockwell and was the owner of J & W Gun Shop and was a member of the Family Worship Center.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jesse Laster; his stepsons, Jeff Blackford and wife Janey of Bowling Green and Anthony Blackford and wife Deborah of Tomball, Texas; his daughters, Susan Fuzzell and husband Jack of Russellville and Tina Blackford and husband Tracy of Auburn; and nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Walter Ray Laster will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 26, at Summers and Son Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Fuller, Bro. Johnny Fuller and Bro. Morris Fuller officiating with burial to follow in Stevenson’s Chapel Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home Thursday will be held from 11 a.m. until the service time.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Southern Kentucky. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
