Lowell Allen Smart III, 70, of Clarksville Road of Russellville, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2014 at the VA Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. He was born in Owensboro on April 6, 1944 to the late Lowell Allen Smart Jr. and Doris Harrison Smart. He was a United States Air Force veteran, a self-employed painter and member of the First Baptist Church.
He was survived by his wife, Linda Smart; his daughters ~ Heather Smart Mejia (Guillermo) ~ Springhill, Tenn. and Leslie Smart Timmons (Chris) ~ Adairville; his brother ~ Carl Phillip Smart (Marilyn Jo) ~ Reynoldsburg, Ohio; and his grandchildren ~ Clark Timmons and Caroline Timmons.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to First Baptist Church Building Fund.
