James Kenneth Penrod Sr., 83 of Lewisburg, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at the Hospice Center of Southern Ky. in Bowling Green. He was born Wednesday, Feb. 28, 1940, the son of the late James Penrod and the late Mae Penrod. He was the husband of the late Shirley Penrod.
He was a truck driver and a member of Baugh Station General Baptist Church where he was a Deacon and Trustee.
Surviving are his daughters, Anna Lois Cason (David) and June Brown, all of Lewisburg; his sons, Chris Penrod of Russellville, Jimmy Penrod of Lewisburg, Pat Brown (Judy) of Russellville, David Brown (Terri) of Lewisburg, Mike Brown (Cindy) of Dickson, Tenn.; his sister, Beverly Harris (Nelson) of Lewisburg; and his 28 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his son, Junior Brown, and his sisters, Margie Helton, Doris Jean Whitmore, and Minnie Johnson.
A funeral service will be at 1 pm on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Price Funeral Home, Inc., located at 252 E. Green St., Lewisburg, with Bro. Darrin Pentecost, Bro. Tony Blake, and Chris Penrod officiating. Interment will be at Fitzhugh Cemetery.
There will be a visitation on Friday at 5 p.m. at Price Funeral Home. On Saturday the family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
