Cynthia June Brown Schleiter, 65 of Lewisburg, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at her home in Lewisburg. She was born Saturday, March 1, 1958, the daughter of Bobby O. Brown, of Russellville, and the late Shirley Faye Forgy Penrod. She was the wife of the late Clayton Schleiter. She was a homemaker and a member of Baugh Station General Baptist Church.
In addition to her father, June is survived by: her daughter, Cindy Knight Curtis of Louisville; her son, Anthony Knight of Floyd Knobs, Ind.; her brothers, Pat Brown (Judy) of Russellville, David Brown (Terri) of Lewisburg, Mike Brown (Cindy) of Dickson, Tenn., Chris Penrod of Russellville and Jimmy Penrod of Lewisburg; her sister, Anna Lois Cason (David) of Lewisburg; her seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her mother, June was preceded in death by her brother, Junior Brown, and her stepfather, James Penrod.
A funeral service will be at noon on Friday, April 21, at Price Funeral Home, Inc., located at 252 E. Green St., Lewisburg, with Bro. Jonathon Hadden and Chris Penrod officiating. Interment will be in Fitzhugh Cemetery.
The family will receive friends after 5 p.m. on Thursday at Price Funeral Home, Inc. There will also be visitation from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday.
