Rita Mae Crafton, 65, of Jason Ridge, died Tuesday, April 25, at her home. The Todd County resident was born Oct. 13, 1957 in Greenville to Rev. James and Novella Sharp. Rita was a homemaker, farmer, pianist and member of Pleasant Union General Baptist Church in Deerlick.
She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Hilda Fay Sharp.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Wade Crafton; her daughters, Emily (Steve) McElfresh and Beth (Casey) Craig; her grandchildren, Becca (Ryan) Hudson, Zac (Whitney) McElfresh, Cody (Lauren) McElfresh, Ava Craig and Abby Craig; her great-grandchildren, Taygen Young, Blakelynn McElfresh, Oliver McElfresh, Harper and Ellie Hudson; her sister, Janice (Guy) Kees; her brothers, Danny (Sue) Sharp, Mike (Carla) Sharp and Ronnie Sharp; and her, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Zac McElfresh, Ryan Hudson, Gary Sharp, Allen Sharp, Derek Sharp, and Austin Neighbors.
Visitation will be Friday, April 28, beginning at 5 p.m. at Price Funeral Home in Lewisburg and Saturday, April 29, beginning at noon at Pleasant Union Church with celebration of life to follow at 2 p.m. Jeremy Brooks will be officiating with internment at Wiley’s Chapel Cemetery, Deerlick.
She was thankful for the love, laughter and kind attention of her church family, caretakers, Lifeline Health Care of Logan SoKy and Pennyroyal Hospice staff.
