Ronald Hooper, 84, of Russellville, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Creekwood Place Nursing and Rehab in Russellville. He was a Logan County native, born July 2, 1938 to the late Thurman Lucious Hooper and Wilma Kahl Hooper. He worked in Supervision at Emerson Electric, served in the National Guard and was a member of the Fellowship Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Margaret Hodge Hooper; his sons, Michael Hooper and wife Christy of White House and Mark Hooper and wife Christy of Murfreesboro; and his grandsons, Luke Hooper, Ethan Hooper, Andrew Hooper and Josh Hooper and wife Claire.
Funeral services for Ronald Hooper will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday May 31, at Summers and Son Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmie Hampton and Bro. Danny Williams officiating with burial to follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
Visitation at the Funeral Home will be held starting at 10 a.m. and lasting until the time of the service.
Memorial contributions may be made in form of donation to the Backpack Program for the Russellville Schools Resource Center in care of Carol Kees, or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
