Bruce Alvis, 76, of Olmstead, passed away Friday, July 14, 2023 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. He was born in Elkton on April 30, 1947 to the late Sylvan Coy Alvis and Gertrude Harper Alvis. He was a farmer and a Baptist minister, having pastored many churches throughout Kentucky and was a member of Forest Grove Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Barbara Alvis; his son, Daniel Alvis of Olmstead; his daughter, Toni Gambrel of London, Ky.; and his grandchildren, Abigail Mew, Jonathan Gambrel, Madison Harper and Carlie Alvis
Funeral Services for Bruce Alvis were conducted Monday, July 17, at Summers and Son Funeral Home with Bro. Allen Woodard officiating with burial following in Maple Grove Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Forrest Grove Baptist Church.
